My wife called me at work...initially my boss made some snide remark, I turned around and walked out of the lab and went home. The next day my boss apologized - profusely...apparently the news coverage and general reaction changed his view...that and he knew I was on the verge of packing it in and moving out and he needed me more than I needed him - what a great position to be in with a job. I love working in the sciences.

I cried for about a month at the drop of a hat, eventually it slowed and I only cried when I listened to the music. What a dull grey world it had become w/o the Grateful Dead. So much brightness and color just disappeared in an instant - gone!

There is still a tiny ragged piece of faded tye-dye on the antenna of my old 4-runner.

I wonder if we'll all meet again in another life, called by something strange and mysterious that comes crying like the wind.

One of the few TDIDH days w/o a show...seems appropriate.

Yes! Noticed that! Sometimes the music does stop.
